Attorney Robert May practices exclusively Criminal Defense and Traffic Law at Livesay & Myers, P.C. A former Marine, he has earned a reputation as an aggressive, disciplined and skilled attorney in the courtroom.
Mr. May is experienced in handling every type of criminal matter in Virginia, with a special emphasis on violent crimes, Drug Crimes and other serious felonies.
Mr. May's drug offenses representation is comprehensive, defending clients against charges ranging from simple possession to distribution and/or possession with the intent to distribute, to charges involving "continuing criminal enterprises."
With a degree in accounting and years of Marine Corps experience in financial management, Mr. May also handles Embezzlement, fraud and other white collar crimes.
Finally, Mr. May is an experienced DUI and traffic defense lawyer.
Robert May works out of the firm's offices in Fairfax and Manassas, Virginia, and represents clients all across Northern Virginia.
Acquittal on Attempted Murder Charge. In September 2011, Mr. May defended a man charged with striking a deputy's police cruiser on Interstate 95 in Stafford County, as detailed by a Free Lance-Star article. While the man was convicted of several lesser offenses, Mr. May won a jury acquittal on the most serious charge, attempted murder. The jury also found Mr. May's client not guilty of assault and battery on a police officer.
